Is a freelance humorous illustrator living in Lancaster PA. After 4 years service in the Navy and graduation from York Academy of Arts he worked at a Baltimore package design studio for a year before being hired by Lancaster based Godfrey Advertising as an art director/illustrator. His original and stylized humorous illustrations for use in the clients’ ads and marketing materials went on to garner industry recognition through a national Cleo award nomination and several ADDY awards from the Central PA Association of Advertising Agencies. A former member of the NY Society of Illustrators he was also a finalist in their national juried humor show. After several years with the agency he left to pursue a freelance career.
Before transitioning to a digital art creation work flow he cut his teeth on pencils, inks, and watercolor styles which he’s been able to successfully recreate using digital tools. He launched his career in NYC procuring assignments from major consumer magazines and some of the largest NY ad agencies. At that time he began his professional relationship with Antonio.
Bot’s assignments since then have originated from sources that include corporations, ad agencies, design studios, web designers, book and magazine publishers, and theme parks.
Bot’s also illustrated media guide and program covers featuring players caricatures for the New York Yankees; Baltimore Orioles; Atlanta Braves; Boston Celtics; Utah Jazz; Phoenix Suns; Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia Flyers. His versatility has extended to movie storyboards, children’s book illustration and mural creations.
