I’m a 2D illustrator working out of my home studio in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. I specialise in illustrating expressive children and animals in a fast, fluid ink and watercolour style. I like to capture movement, emotion and character.
My work has been used in award-winning children’s books, cover designs, and ad campaigns internationally. I work almost entirely digitally, using both Procreate and Affinity Designer from concept sketch to finished piece. I also paint locally inspired traditional watercolours.
My influence comes mainly from children’s illustrated classics. As a child, my nan would collect old books and I would sneak out of bed to read the old, dusty pages. I’d stare at the illustrations and dream about being an illustrator myself, and I’d love to pass that inspiration to other children.
