I have employed my lifetime interest in dinosaurs, animals, fantasy, art history, and literature into a successful career as an illustrator. My art can be seen on many book covers published by Random House, Harcourt, Ballantine, Avon, Bantam, Time Life, and Viking Penguin.

I have also created advertising illustrations for a wide variety of clients such as: Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Aflac, Levi’s, Disney, Claritin, Discovery Channel, Time Magazine, Nike, Minolta, Dole Foods & Purina. I had the great honor to be commissioned by the US Government to create the official Earth Day 2013 poster on the theme of big cat conservation.

I have especially enjoyed my long relationship with Celestial Seasonings Tea, and have created art for over 60 tea boxes, products, and tins. Articles about my art and career have appeared in The New York Times, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune, The New Yorker, Manchester Union Leader, Concord Monitor, NH Magazine, Advanced Photoshop Magazine, Art Scene International, Prehistoric Times and Airbrush Action Magazine, where I have been a regular contributor.

I have received numerous awards including a Gold Medal from The Society of Illustrators of NY, and The Vargas Award for lifetime achievement in illustration and for my contributions to the airbrush industry. In 2007 I earned The Grand Master Award from Ballistic Publishing’s “Expose,” a collection of the year’s best digital art, along with The Excellence Award in the 2009 edition.

I am currently teaching Advanced Digital Art at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, NH, and is an integral part of an exciting and growing illustration program.
